Hello my dear friends, parents, grandparents,
So glad to have you here. Thanks for dropping by.
I started this club because I have asked myself, “what is the potential of a Bible Memory Club?” What do you think? Certainly, it can be more than the person who is learning Bible Verses. There are those who are in that persons circle of influence. I’ve seen it in my observation of my own kids.
Could this make a change in your neighborhood, homeschool group, public school, and church youth group?
Could the verses your children (and you) hide in your hearts influence the entire country? One by one, I can see the potential for revival even if only in your family. It would have to spread. That, to me, is God’s plan when he said to the disciples:
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. TEACHING (my emphasis) them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” Matthew 28:19-20, (ESV).
Persistent Practice of Bible Memory
Although we have some tips and tricks for easily remembering what we have learned there are
more results to be experienced. So, let’s go for it. Take a look at your different coaching plans (one of
which is parents do the coaching) see which is a good fit for your family.
Persistent practice is what we’re talking about.
For some, it takes more persistent practice but very few can let weeks go by without any recitation of what we’ve learned, and have it spring up when we need it. We teach memory joggers.
John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit will help you.
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you”
Now, that’s not to say that God won’t bring those verses to mind when you need them. Even though my long-term memory is waning, I have had circumstances where I was talking to someone about the Lord. At that time something I didn’t even know I had in my memory bank just popped up into my mouth. God used it to meet the need of the person receiving the message.
Ask Him to help you and to be consistent in practice. Working together as a group will help us all to be accountable.
